2010 Magna Society Dealership Award!

Higher Standard Leads to Coveted Magna Society Award

Audi of America identified its top performing U.S. dealerships throughout 2010, a year that saw the brand and its retail partners post record sales results.

In all, 113 Audi dealerships earned the 2010 Magna Society recognition through what officials described Monday as "providing superlative customer service while achieving strong overall business performance."

Audi reiterated that it established the Magna Society to recognize U.S. dealerships that stand out as the "best of the best."

To qualify, the automaker explained that dealerships can't just meet or exceed sales targets. They must also demonstrate they are maintaining a solid financial foundation, merit high customer satisfaction scores and show their facilities and staff represent the progressive Audi culture.

"Audi and its dealer partners are building on record sales results by further enhancing the overall experience customers have with our brand," noted Mark Del Rosso, Audi's chief operating officer

"To sustain that momentum, it's essential to deliver a solid business model and a consumer-oriented culture. These Magna Society dealerships have done exactly that," Del Rosso added.

Officials went on to stress the annual Magna Society awards fit with long-range plans established by Audi and its franchise partners to make Audi facilities more exclusive.

The number of dealership locations exclusively selling Audi models is expected to increase by the end of 2011 to 151 in the U.S. from 15 exclusive rooftops operating in 1999.

Between 2008 and 2010, the company highlighted that Audi dealers completed $170.8 million in facility improvements. Management added another $35.75 million of new or improved facilities (not including land and personnel costs) are scheduled to come online in 2011.

By the end of this year, nameplate officials believe 96 percent of Audi sales in the U.S. are expected to come from exclusive or brand-dedicated facilities.

The company pointed out an Audi exclusive location sells only Audi models, and a brand-dedicated facility sells only Audi cars and SUVs but is adjacent to other franchises.
